Matthew Rukgaber I find this sort of melodic, metallic doom to be just about perfect. A real top 20 of 2016 release. Walks in the footsteps of titans like Candlemass and Cathedral, and alongside bands like Sahg and Grand Magus. Absolutely wonderful traditional metal vocals and melodies...like a tougher, less operatic Matt Barlow (Iced Earth). Quite a leap from the previous album which is great in its own way. Favorite track: Death of a Giant.

liam joyce This album means something more than music to me.
Colossal heavy stoner jams the likes of which are rarely seen.
When and where are they playing??? Favorite track: Waste Deep.

RISING Copenhagen, Denmark

RISING is a Copenhagen quintet formed in 2008 creating and performing its own brand of heavy, aggressive, atmospheric, yet melodic metal music. Stylistically the band naturally incorporates metal, 70’s hard, progressive and psychedelic rock along with sludge and doom and by doing so creates MUSIC rather than submerging to any stylistic dogma, a certain scene or genre has to offer. ... more
